The MOT (Ministry of Transport Test) is a mandatory annual inspection for all vehicles over 3 years old in the UK.
It ensures your car meets the required standards of safety, roadworthiness, and environmental emissions.
Whitout a valid MOT certificate, you cannot legally drive your vehicle (except when going to a pre-booked MOT or repair) and you will not be able to renw your road tax.

How long is the MOT valid for?
The MOT certificate is valid for 12 months.
You can renew your MOT up to 30 days before it expires, keeping the same renewal date fot the following year.
